Complete Kits
Insight's GEM Series of Graphic Engine Monitor"s(TM) are supplied with everything necessary to accomplish a successful installation. Each kit contains the display unit, complement of temperature probes, User's Guide, Installation manual and installation hardware. Each kit is packaged in a cushioned-wrapped box ready for immediate shipment.
The Only Choice

Spring CHT Probe P/N 2852
Insight provides two CHT type of probes. Spring probes which screw into the cylinder head thermowell, and Gasket Probes which replaces the spark plug gasket. Gasket Probes are recommended for use anytime Spring Probes cannot be used i.e. when TANIS preheaters are used.
EGT Probe P/N 2870
The EGT probe consists of a special alloy sheath connected to a stainless steel clamp. The probe tip is installed in a small hole in the exhaust stack, secured by an adjustable clamp.
Gasket CHT Probe P/N 2853
The Gasket Probe uses the same J-Type thermocouple as the Spring Probe. This probe replaces the gasket on 18mm spark plugs. The J-Type thermocouple has red and white color coded wires. Note that the spark plug plugs in some engines may run 50 to 100 Fahrenheit degrees hotter than the thermowell. The copper gasket can be annealed just like a standard spark plug gasket.
The gasket probe is recommended for use anytime the spring probe cannot be used. Aircraft fitted with thermowell TANIS preheaters should use the CHT Gasket probes.
Adapter CHT Probes P/N 2855 and P/N 2856
Adapter probes are used in conjunction with the original manufactures CHT probes. These threaded probes fit into the cylinder heads thermowell. They are available in versions to accept threaded or bayonet type OEM probes.
Turbine Inlet Probes (TIT)
TIT Probe P/N 2872 Threaded with boss, TIT Probe 1/4 NPT P/N 2873 and TIT Probe P/N 2871
These probes are similar to the EGT probes except they are fitted into the turbo inlet pipes (if so equipped) and also secured by a stainless steel clamp.
OAT/IAT Probe P/N 1200-021
Insights OAT and IAT probes provide accurate measurement of air temperatures both inside and outside the cabin. Durable and long lasting, these probes are easy to install.
